Be A Part of the 2008 Campaign!
 

 

In order to make this national event an even bigger success than last year, we need your help promoting it!   Here we offer several ways for you to get involved and spread the word about NPLTD.

• Hand out flyers to everyone you know at school, church, concerts or wherever tons of people hang out.  Click here to download.

•  If you are part of a Rock for Life chapter, contact us at chapters@rockforlife.org to find out what we've organized for you to help get you started.

• Contact the news desk at the local newspaper and tell them about NPLTD.

• Call a local talk radio program to tell listeners about the event.

• Blog about it. Everywhere.

• Start an area-wide MySpace page or Facebook Event.  Get others in your circle of friends to join you. You'll be amazed how many people you know and contact regularly.

• Most people have at least 50 email addresses at their fingertips; write an email to your whole address book!

• Make an AOL IM buddy icon from a pro-life graphic so everyone you talk to online will know about the event and know where to go to learn all about it.

• Use our pre-made banner ads on your website or MySpace page (right-click and click "save target as" if on a PC).  Remember to hyperlink it to www.nationalprolifetshirtday.com:

What's Next?

Get involved–and get others involved–for the rest of the year and for next year's NPLTD!

While successful movements often start with one person or just an idea, they are made much stronger as more people join them. Even if we all get just one friend or family member to participate; we've doubled our ranks!

NPLTD is just one day out of the entire year, and we all know that thousands of babies are murdered every day. We can’t just speak out against abortion for one day and expect it to just go away for the other 364 days of the year. So here’s what we can all do to keep this going all year long:

1) Upload/post your photos, videos and stories to our Facebook page. We want to know how your day went!

The fight against abortion is strongest when it’s a movement belonging to an entire community. Your experience may help create more ideas for how to make next year even better.

2) Volunteer at a pregnancy resource center—abortion is not just about the babies, but also about the mothers who feel they have nowhere else to turn. So why not help them? You can ask around at a local church to see if there is one in your area, or you can check online at http://www.covenantnews.com/pregnant/.

3) Start working against the largest abortion chain in this country—Planned Parenthood. Find out more by visiting www.all.org/stopp or signing up for the Wednesday STOPP Report newsletter by sending an e-mail to stopp@all.org put “subscribe” in both the subject and body.

4) If you and your friends want to keep the excitement going, consider starting a Rock for Life chapter.  Email Phil@rockforlife.org to find out how.  Visit Rock For Life to get some ideas for action behind your beliefs.

5) Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper about being pro-life and NPLTD.  It's free press and a great way to voice your single opinion to tens of thousands of people.

6) Download the flyer and help get more people aware, and to wear the T-shirt on NPLTD (and all year afterward.)
